"Avventurina" The gilding on glass, either of natural sparkly copper colour or tinted is very difficult to obtain. The name "avventurina" means that working this material is considered like a "ventura" from Italian - per avventura - by chance.
La dorure est obtenue de façon presque hasardeuse, d'où la "ventura".
