Established by Yves BENOIT and his son Germain, TOSCAN specializes in the embellishment of velvets. More particularly, TOSCAN produces "gaufrage" prints, a French royalties' favorites.
Promoted Maître d’Art (similar to the Japanese “Living Treasure”) in 2006, Yves BENOIT is a color specialist. Capable of matching almost any color, Yves also works on archeological sites to do research on the elements of fabrics found.

The fabrics shown here are relief printed mohair velvet. Most are produced using the original XVIIIth century plates and techniques. Prints are processed by the plate: Dimensions of the plate: Length: 100 cm or 37.37 inches Width: 59cm or 23.22 inches. Colors can be customized. |
