| In 1963 Masson was founded in the Loire Valley - residence to France's Kings. ' Masson's "Achilles" is possessed by a few select hotels and palaces. Le Cinq, the restaurant of Paris's George V, has received much fanfare. Not a surprise that Masson crafted the restaurant's most visually-exposed pieces of furniture.

| Philosophy: |
| Finishing' is a specialty of Masson's fifteen artisans. After studying the wood, they employ a hand-rubbing technique to apply an appropriate patina, sometimes preferring tint over paint to achieve a particular hue. Masson is closely tied to gilders, tapestry layers and marble carvers, whose craft has built the venerable reputation of French furniture over the centuries. |
