By acquiring POUENAT in 1995, Jacques RAYET perpetuated a 5 generation metalwork workshop founded in the heart of France in 1880: POUENAT Ferronier. POUENAT is a specialist of high-end iron architectural elements, as well as of high-end iron lighting fixtures and furniture.

The company’s catalogue illustrates RAYET’s vision for POUENAT. The catalogue presents classic designs by Henri Pouenat. Henri was the fifth generation POUENAT and an alumni of Paris’ Arts Décoratifs, where he had Gilbert Poillerat as a teacher. It was Henri, who in the 1960’ set the company on the interior design market. The collection also includes contemporary designs by world class designers: India Madhavi, Michel Jouannet, François Champsaur, Nicolas Aubagnac, Damien Langlois-Meurinne, Thomas Boog.

With an integrated design bureau, POUENAT is capable of adjusting –if not manufacturing to order- its production to face the challenges of the most demanding projects. POUENAT works exclusively with architectural and interior design firms. POUENAT uses iron, stainless steel, brass and aluminium and makes furniture including other materials such as marble, glass, leather and wood.

POUENAT’s production has been placed in such grand projects as: lighting fixtures and furniture for the liner France; mirror for the UN in Geneva; lighting fixtures for hotels: Concorde, Plaza Athénée and the Paris Hilton; replacement of winter garden and lighting fixtures at Hotel Meurice in Paris; a chandelier for Troigros in Roanne; furniture and lighting fixtures for the Hotel Riviera in Saint Jean Cap Ferrat.
